THE MASS MEDIA OF GOMEL REGION

There are 23 newspapers published by official authorities of Gomel region (a regional newspaper, a city paper, 21 district papers and a united bulletin).
Their momentary circulation of 140 thousand copies. The oldest and most popular papers are Gomelskaya Prauda (The Truth of Gomel) and Dniaprovets, available since 1917.
Besides the state newspapers, there are over 30 papers published by agencies, NGOs and individuals. Their momentary circulation of around 150 thousand copies.
