The construction branch of the region is represented by 8 project institutes, 112 construction and assembly, 14 repair and construction organizations, two house- building combines, and 27 enterprises producing construction materials, structures and parts.

Five branches of Republican project institutions are involved in works of drafting civil construction documentation for construction works in settlements, of the project and cost-evaluation documentation for constructing sites of dwelling, civil, industrial and communal purpose.

The necessary production potentials are available for performing аll types of construction-assembly works, building houses and structures to the orders of enterprises, organizations and institutions.

The enterprises of the construction sector are improving organization of labour, production processes, they are mastering production of new building materials responding to modern technical requirements. Computer-based technologies are implemented into project work, and new power-preserving technical decisions are introduced into production.

Huge work volumes are executed in road construction, new overpasses and bridges are built.

The Oblast is manufacturing rigid mineral-fiber boards, polished and liquid glass, glued wooden structures, linoleum, lime-and-sand bricks, pile carpets, izoplene, PVC boards.

The produce of the enterprises of the construction complex are on demand both in the Republic and abroad. Part of orders are fulfilled outside the Republic.
