After October revolution and proclamations of the Soviet regime the 1st congress of Klimovichi district renamed all boards into departments and assigned Mr. Gumnitski head of public health services department.In 1924-1925 years Klimovichi-based central ambulatory was constructed and began its operation. An ambulance room in Miloslavichi and medical and obstetrical rooms in Domarevichi, Makeevichi, Dubrovitsa and Rodnya commenced their operation as well. A children's clinic was established in 1924, and Children's House in 1918. In 1927 hospital had as many as 75 bed places. Its personnel counted 47 persons including 5 doctors. From mid 30's till 1941 there was a school for hospital nurses in Klimovichi, where 302 persons were trained and 18 teachers worked during 1939-1940 educational years.
Till the June of 1945 a military hospital stationed in the buildings of Klimovichi hospital, and the hospital itself was situated in the old building of children's clinic and in adjacent houses. In the first post-occupation year the hospital's capacity made up 75 places.
In the October of 1943 the following medical and obstetrical rooms opened: Domamerichsky, Kiselevo-Budsky, Zvenchatsky, Makeevichsky, Moloshkovichsky, Ovtuhovsky, Krasavichsky, Timonovsky, Lopatovichsky, Gusarkovsky, Hodunsky, Lozovichsky, Osmolovichsky, Titovsky. In 1944 the children's clinic at Komsomolskaya Street was opened. A number of other rural hospitals started their operation in 1944: Dubrovichskaya, Miloslavichskaya, Savinichiskaya and Galichskaya. In 1956 Klimovichi hospital's capacity reached 150 places. Buildings of the second therapeutic ward, X-ray room, clinical lab and emergency room were constructed. In 1959 rural medical establishments network was extended under the direction of the hospital's head physician and Velikohomskaya and Rodnyanskaya ambulatories were commissioned. In 1961 local hospital Rodnya (35 places) and a new brick building for 25 places in Galichi hospital were constructed. In 1962 Velikohomskaya and Rodnyanskaya district hospitals were put into operation. The central district hospital's capacity has mounted to 225 places. Gynecological and tubercular departments were opened there. Children's department capacity made up 45 places. Clinical lab, tubercular ward, garages and warehouses were also opened. Laundry was mechanized, buildings of children's and district's clinics were extended. As of 1967, 5 drugstores, 5 district hospitals and 26 medical and obstetrical rooms operated in rural area. In 1986 the first patients have been accepted in a new six-storied building of district's hospital. In 1989 construction of a building for infection department and district clinic capable of receiving up to 375 patients in one shift was completed. At the moment central district hospital has 410 bed places and reanimation and anesthesiology department for 6 places. Besides there are 4 rural hospitals with their capacity amounting to 110 places, 1 ambulatory, 27 medical and obstetrical rooms, 3 health care stations, 2 urban and 5 rural drugstores, hygiene and epidemiology center in the district. |
