UNITED INFORMATION DAY TO TAKE PLACE IN KLIMOVICHI OCTOBER 17

Klimovichi will see a United Information Day on October 17, head of the information department for Klimovichi district hall Yelena Zheleznyak told our correspondent.

She said, 5 propaganda groups will meet with Klimovichi labor collectives to discuss two themes “Social Partnership of Authorities, Trade Unions, and Employer — Base for Civil Society Reinforcement” and “Prospects of Guards Service Development, Technical Capabilities of Citizen Property Protection”.

Besides, a propaganda group of Mogilev regional hall plans to visit Klimovichi distillery. Besides, head of the district information department Nikolai Gorbachev will be receiving citizens with personal problems from 10:00 to 12:00.

DISTRICT DIVISION OF ZNANIYE SOCIETY FORMED IN KLIMOVICHI

A district organization of Znaniye (Knowledge) society has been formed in Klimovichi, head of the information department of Klimovichi district hall Yelena Zheleznyak told our correspondent.

She said, the foundation conference took place October 14 2003. The source reminded, October 20 is the deadline in Mogilev region for reinstituting and creating district organizations of Znaniye society according to the decision of the region administration.

Zheleznyak noted, this is part of the programme aimed to introduce culture and information in rural areas.

The festive actions, dated to celebrating Mothers Day, is held October, 14 in Klimovichi Central House of Culture, our correspondent learned at in labour and social protection department of Klimovichi executive committee.

According to experts, during the celebration 15 women from the district will receive honours. Among them there is a participant of the Great Patriotic War, a labour veteran, a woman - long-liver and representatives of 10 rural councils of Klimovichi of area, which have brought up talented and deserved children.

The district executive committee headed by management on work and social protection, a department on affairs of youth and a department of physical culture, sports and tourism has prepared memorable gifts for women. To the 106-year-old woman from Klimovichi district they rendered the material aid of BYR 100 thousand for repairing the roof.

The source emphasised that workers of the organisations, agricultural enterprises of the district are invited to a celebration in Klimovichi Central House of Culture. Experts have added, that within this week scold all district establishments and organisations will hold celebratory actions.

They also informed, that October 17 experts of department for labour and social protection of the district executive committee will visit Klimovichi maternity home and give presents to young mothers.

CABBAGE HARVESTING TO BE LAUNCHED IN OSMOLOVICHI ON OCTOBER 15

Osmolovichi company (Klimovichi district, Mogilev region) plans to start mass cabbage harvesting October 15, our correspondent learnt from company’s head bookkeeper Galina Shuro.

Shuro said, they have gathered 20 tons of early cabbage on the area of 0.7 hectares. All in all, 13 hectares are occupied by cabbage. She reminded, last year they collected 49 tons of cabbage heads on the area of 18 hectares. This year the company expects to exceed last year results.

As of September 13, the company gathered 91.4% of the area sown by beet with the total area of 70 hectares. Beet and carrot occupies the largest areas this year — 120 hectares.

As Shuro stressed, Osmolovichi is to complete vegetable harvesting by late October.

KLIMOVICHI WATCHES MOVIES ON OCCASION OF WORLD AIDS PREVENTION DAY

Klimovichi cinema theater Belarus and several rural settlements invite cinema goers to watch movies dated to the World AIDS Prevention Day from November 15 till December 1, our correspondent learnt from Klimovichi district cinema net director Tatiana Yudina.

She said, initially the programme includes such films as the Belarusian Zorka Venera and two Russian documentaries AIDS-2002 and AIDS — the Tragedy of the Century. Yudina noted, the movies are expected to be liked by Klimovichi students.

The cinema administration expects around 1,000 people to come to the cinema these days.
