KLIMOVICHI PLANT OF METAL GOODS EXPANDS PRODUCTION RANGE

Klimovichi plant of metal goods (Mogilev region) has mastered the production of TBS30 luggage carts.

A metal cart is 1.1 m high, 0.47 m wide. The lifting capacity is 30 kg. Metal is bought in Russia. The produce will be sold in Belarus and Russia.

The plant has launched the production of one-, three- and five-seat velour and “leather-imitation” armchairs. The armchairs are 0.81 m high, 0.51 m wide. Raw stuffs are bought domestically. The release price makes BYR 48-50 thousand. The produce will be sold in Belarus.

The company also produces Tourist’s Table sets comprising a table and four folding chairs. The goods will be sold at home and in Russia.

Klimovichi plant of metal goods was founded in 1922. It produces 15 kinds of goods, including prams, furniture, nails. Workforce – 100 persons.

KLIMOVICHI DISTILLERY SET TO START SPARKLING WINE PRODUCTION

National unitary enterprise Klimovichi distillery plans to start bottling sparkling wines.

As our correspondent learned from engineer of the company Alexander Orekhov, an Italian technological line of 2,500 bottles per hour capacity has been purchased and is up for being installed.

The source underlined a growing popularity of the sparkling wine, while champagne is getting at a discount. The new product will be available at BLR 1,200 per 0.75 bottle.

Balsams “Staroslavyanski” and “Klimovichski have been awarded Grand Prix at the annual international degustation contest in Riga, our correspondent learnt from deputy director general of the enterprise Mikhail Shalygin.

He reminded, last year the balsams were awarded with the title “Best goods in Belarus” and gold medals in Cannes at the degustation contest at the 56th film festival.

The source underlined the liquors have refreshing and healing effect. They are made with herbs growing in Belarus.

The company is in a constant process of developing. It produces 25 vodkas, 6 kinds of balms, 20 kinds of wine, brandy and cognac.

Klimovichi distillery was established in 1858, the staff is 640 people. The enterprise produces alcoholic beverages.

48 enterprises compete for a government prize for quality achievements, informed the government committee for standardization, metrology and certification.

These include: Morotex, Gomelsteklo, Belarusian Wallpaper, Vitex, Minsk Motor Plant, Polimir, Belshina, Amkodor-Udarnik, Mogilev Strommashina, Rogachev Diaproektor, Brest complex of building materials, Grodno mechanical plant, Gomel Tsentrolit, BelSoft, etc.

Food industry contenders include Volkovyssk meat processing complex, Grodno meat processing complex, Klimovichi liquor-and-vodka plant, Rogachev canned milk complex, Postavy milk plant, Pinsk dairy complex.

Winners of the 2000 contest will have to confirm their title.

At present groups of experts are involved in quality assessment at the companies in question.

The results will be announced during an international conference Standardization, Certification, Quality to be held in Minsk in November.

KLIMOVICHI YOUNG PIANISTS TO PARTAKE IN INTERNATIONAL CONTEST

Children from Klimovichi district will for the first time partake in the international contest Music of Hope in the nomination Piano, informed director of Klimovichi children’s art school Natalia Kozyrenko.

She noted that teachers from Klimovichi children’s school will select best pupils. Up to two kids from one and the same area can partake in the regional tour.

Kozyrenko informed that the regional stage of the international contest will be held in Mogilev on November 4-6.

CHANGES IN TOP-SOIL STUDIED IN KLIMOVICHI DISTRICT

“Proektny Institut Mogilevgiprozem” is planning to complete its top-soil examination, our correspondent learned from chair of the soil department Galina Pavlova.

According to her, now they are preparing maps for agricultural enterprises of Klimovichi district.

Pavlova stated, special attention is paid to dried lands.
Within 2001-2002 the party explored the soils of Klimovichi agricultural enterprises and educational establishments.
Earlier such study had been undertakes in 1983.
